Privacy Policy
DATA EVODIA USES
Evodia stores your language, fragrance preferences, collection, Wishlist, previously owned fragrances, ratings, wear history, memories, recommendation interactions, and catalog metadata to provide app features. The current development app primarily persists this data locally on your device.
PHOTOS AND CAMERA
Camera and photo-library access occurs only after you choose those features. A selected or captured bottle image may be used for identification or as your fragrance photo. Personal bottle photos are not automatically published to Evodia’s shared fragrance catalog or made available by Evodia to other users; shared catalog imagery comes from separately approved commercial or catalog sources. Any future personal-photo contribution to a shared or community catalog would require an explicit opt-in contribution system. Identification images may be sent transiently to the configured processing service and are not intentionally retained by Evodia’s backend.
LOCATION AND WEATHER
With foreground permission, Evodia may use approximate location temporarily for current weather. For an explicit where-to-buy question, it may request foreground location at that moment. Exact location is not stored in the Evodia profile.
AI, VOICE AND CATALOG PROCESSING
Relevant prompts and bounded personalization context may be sent to OpenAI for recommendations, Ask, insights, identification, or factual research. Optional microphone input sends a temporary audio recording to OpenAI for transcription; Evodia does not permanently store the voice recording. Do not enter sensitive personal information in prompts or memories.
ACCOUNTS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
Production account, cloud-backup, and subscription systems are not currently implemented in this development version. If introduced, this policy and the in-app disclosures must be updated before those systems process data.
RETENTION AND CONTROL
Local data remains until changed, removed through available app controls, or application storage is cleared. Evodia currently provides controls for collection items, Wishlist items, photos, ratings, memories, and preferences, but does not yet provide a production account-deletion or cloud-deletion workflow.
SECURITY AND CHILDREN
No system is perfectly secure. Evodia does not claim production-grade encryption or cloud backup where those systems are not implemented. The service is not designed for children to provide personal information without appropriate guardian involvement.
CHANGES AND CONTACT
A material policy revision will use a new version and require acknowledgment in the app. Contact Evodia through the configured support flow with privacy questions.
